After experiencing swelling in his feet and legs, Jeff Howe was diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare, life-threatening disease that occurs when a protein called amyloid builds up in the organs and causes damage. He was referred to the Amyloidosis Center at BMC, one of the top centers in the world for this condition, where he underwent a stem cell transplantation. |

“Back in 2008 when I was diagnosed with amyloidosis, the prognosis was fairly dire,” reflects Jeff. “But I put my trust in BMC and everything turned out beautifully.” |

Together for Hope 2024 Was a Success
Full of inspiring panels and thought-provoking presentations, the inaugural Together for Hope conference from BMC's Grayken Center for Addiction covered a wide variety of topics touching the addiction space. More than 500 participants, including practitioners and people with lived experience, discussed their ideas and experiences while building meaningful connections.
