Learn All About Lung Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer this November |
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and there’s no better time to schedule a screening. Annual screenings are the best way to catch lung cancers at an early stage, when they can be treated more effectively. If you are over 50, have ever smoked, or are exposed to second-hand smoke, you may be eligible for annual lung cancer screenings at BMC.
This month is also Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection is key with pancreatic cancer, so it’s important to be aware of the signs and symptoms, as well as risk factors such as tobacco use, diabetes, age, race, and family history. If you have any questions about your risk, ask your healthcare provider.
At the BMC Cancer Center, we are reimagining every aspect of patient care, from prevention and diagnosis through treatment and recovery. Our renowned team of experts are always on the forefront of advocating for and delivering life-saving treatments for all cancers. |

My doctor has been a guiding force since I started my diabetes care with him. I have always felt that every step in my care is always a coordinated effort with his entire office. He is a wonderful educator, provider, and a very insightful endocrinologist. |
