Name: Gene Kwan, MD, MPH
Department: Cardiology
Research focus: I study how to deliver appropriate cardiac care to patients in places where we don’t have enough cardiologists, specifically by training non-specialists to treat patients.
Why BMC?: I like the people and the patients. I came to BMC for cardiology training and all the faculty were open, engaging, warm, and welcoming. I also feel a really strong connection to our patients and a deep sense of mission and purpose to help those that need it the most.
